This pinboard is actually a regular old corkboard (from Target, I believe), covered in fabric, edged with upholstery tacks, and stapled in place on the back of the frame. Sometimes I think fabric boards are too hard to use easily - the cork of this one makes it very easy. It came with hanging hardware. The fabric we used for this is linen, but a patterned cotton would work well too - just nothing shiny or slippery.
