There's a lot going on here! We loved the color contrast here between the rails, posts, deck, walls, the stone on the patio, all surrounded by the greenery. Not saying ours have to be like this. Just sharing an image of what we think is a beautiful patio/deck combo :)

This one caught our attention because of the horizontal slats. Not sure if it would make sense for our project or if it would be aesthetically pleasing, but just wanted to throw out the idea here.
