this is how we could mount the rail to side of deck or loft/beam
the staggered baluster look is interesting; maybe for spiral staircase
look how close to the edge these balusters are mounted
nice, simple rail
if we need a bottom rail, look how thin this is

tie the baluster directly into beam somehow
floor mount w/ raised platform
floor mount w/ rasied platform
