This bespoke kitchen was handcrafted for a client in Weybridge who commissioned us to create a design combining refined shaker elegance with the edgy undertones of a utilitarian industrial aesthetic. A modern rustic kitchen like this typically features an open layout with simple décor and high-quality materials. To keep the space light and airy, the taller cabinets are positioned at the end of the room and the area framing the kitchen island and table are free of wall units. The result is a kitchen that is very much a social space, one that is both inviting, comfortable and highly functional.
Traditionally handcrafted, customised cabinets
The painted shaker style cabinets have solid wood frames and doors with interiors crafted from lacquered high quality, sustainable birch. This is an exceptionally strong and stable wood with a smooth grain and resistance to wear and tear.
The paint colour is Farrow and Ball Calke Green, a rich, earthy deep sage shade. This sophisticated colour provides a grounded, luxurious backdrop that feels warm and welcoming and defines the space extremely well. The worktops are in Bianca Venatino quartz. Quartz is an engineered stone, made of ground natural quartz mixed with resins, polymers and pigments. This gives it a hardwearing, low-maintenance surface that outperforms natural granites. It’s non-porous, which makes it highly resistant to stains, scratches, moisture and bacteria.
Kitchen island and integrated appliances
An impressive freestanding kitchen island features tailored niches for recipe books and recessed stool storage spaces. The adjacent large table is illuminated by statement vintage-style rise and fall pendant lights which create ambiance and act as a focal point over the dining area. They can be easily adjusted for different activities and occasions.
Our clients’ top-of-the-range appliances have been built directly into the cabinetry for a seamless cohesive look. The Belfast sink has an iconic farmhouse look and provides a deep, practical space for large cookware. Designer Johnny Grey ingeniously created two countertops at different heights - one for drainage and one for food prep. A large curved stainless steel Belfast sink sits between. The splashback, commissioned from tile maker Alex Zdankowicz, forms an integral part of the design. He used an iridescent, pearl lustreware glaze to add interest and reflect light. The pair of wall cabinets were designed to fit perfectly with the aesthetic of the tiles.

Rich, strong and invigorating, the rough textured, look and feel of Bricks has hit the market. One of the most popular trends in the field of architecture and interior design, increasingly present in international projects across the world!
Urban loft living and décor is a lifestyle that many love. If you are looking to add an urban loft style to your home, brick porcelain tiles will create the perfect touch. Showcase a brick-wall splashback with exposed finishes, wide-open floor plans that look over city lights, transforming a cold and lifeless building into a warm and comfortable abode.
The Bristol Brick Series by Ceramica Rodine delivers an urban look and feel of Bricks crafting seven shades of colour that remain true to the brick generation. Classic colours – white, almond, black and grey – make for a fresh, stylishly contemporary look. This looks is thanks to a ceramic surface that renders a chalky, matte effect able to emulate the elegant facades of Brooklyn Heights, or one of the classiest brownstone neighbourhoods of the Upper East Side.
Never before has the industrial look been so perfectly captured in a porcelain tile series. Unlike any other product, Bristol Series is able to offer the urban style at its expressive best.

Designer Johnny Grey commissioned this ingenious grill and canopy from Paul Jobst, a celebrated British metal worker. The system is designed for grilling and the grills are hinged to allow wood ash to be spread widely and deep enough to grill enough food for a party of 30 in one sitting! The zinc coated canopy is made with patches of roof grade matt zinc – fire proof, flexible and light reflective.

“This super-insulated log-fired Italian oven takes just 30 minutes to reach 400 degrees and will hold its heat for eight hours for residual low cooking temperatures” says designer Johnny Grey. Grey installed fireproof work surfaces on either side and the stunning tiles were commissioned from Alex Zdankowicz inspired by outdoor foliage – their bendy shapes introducing a playful theme on an otherwise plain wall.
