The Open Plan team prides itself on delivering on-trend, fresh and personal alternatives to its residential clients. Our service is a truly bespoke. Lisa is involved from beginning to end of project completion, making sure that your renovation is simple, efficient and stunning. Our pricing structure is simple, set fees per room ensure that our designs are both beautiful, practical and suited to your budget. Whether you are looking to design your entire home or a room we can start with a consultation and take it from there. Currently, as well as running her own busy design studio, Lisa freelances at Gabriel Holland Interior Design and recently launched her own online-only design service, The Open Plan ONLINE - offering a totally online design service, if this suits your requirements better. Educated in Interior Design at the renowned Chelsea College of Arts in London, Lisa Roberts-Goldner founded the The Open Plan in 2008. During her extensive career Lisa has worked for many design companies, including award-winning architects Terry Farrell, Paint & Paper Library and Walton Ceramics in Chelsea. In this time she has worked alongside top interior designers including Suzy Hoodless, Nina Campbell, Prue Lane Fox, John Colefax, Rabih Hage and Michael Reeves. She also designed top-end, bespoke interiors for Plain English, where she was employed as a Senior Designer. Lisa also runs London's leading interior design blog which ensures she keeps her readership at the heart of design trends and inspired by her guides on how to make the most out of their space. It was great working with Lisa. She offers a clear plan and fee structure, and then delivers everything on time and on budget. She came up with a great design to fit our brief including some unique features, and also has an excellent contacts book for sourcing.

Lisa helped me with designing my sitting room and bedroom, and I was overjoyed with what she presented. She understood my influences and what I was after, and worked around my existing pieces to suggest items that fitted in the room, and brought together the rooms in a far more coherent finished way than I could have ever achieved. Her service was crucial in giving me the confidence and guidance to finish off the flat. Very friendly and approachable.

Highly recommend Lisa from The Open Plan who helped us design a loft conversion, TV den, and bathroom refit. Lisa is a delightful person to work with and has a great eye for detail. She presented moodboards and products that were sensitive to our taste and budget. She also introduced us to lots of brands we would never have discovered ourselves. We're so happy with the new spaces, the schemes look much more lux and coherent than we would have managed ourselves!

Lisa from The Open Plan was so good to work with. I wanted to turn the empty space at the back of my living room into a family dining area with storage for toys and a desk. Lisa very quickly came back with a practical and workable design that we pretty much went with. She gave us different options for materials so that we could pick a budget that suited us. She also suggested a few carpenters, one of whom (Toby, excellent!) we hired. Lisa checked on us during the build and spoke to Toby to make sure things were right. As a result we have a beautiful new room that we use every day. I would absolutely recommend Lisa and would happily hire her again.

We worked with Lisa for a colour consultation and cannot recommend her enough. We were really stuck to find colours that would flow between the different rooms and the hallway and lost inside the Farrow&Ball 'marketing vortex'. Lisa came around for 1.5 hours to see our rooms, assess the light and listen to our ideas. We felt a great connection and she was genuinely interested in getting to know our personal style. Her enthusiasm and professional opinion really got us going again. The final report lists creative options for a concept that flows throughout the house, including details on suggested finishes/tones. Lisa is super friendly and personable, she gave great practical tipps and hints and patiently fielded our numerous follow-up questions. Her fees are very reasonable given her vast experience and we cannot recommend her enough.

I worked with Lisa on the design of a new kitchen. She was really helpful in turning a high level vision into a real life project. In particular, her input on colour schemes and details (eg cabinet knobs, integrated wine rack...etc) really added value to the project. I also enjoyed the brainstorming sessions. The Open Plan did a full design plan for our bedroom. The mood boards and layout plans were clear and concise so we fully understood her intentions and absolutely loved the design. We didn't need or want to change anything and our bedroom now looks Chic with an element of fun which was exactly what we wanted. Would recommend highly.
