We employed Ed to help us understand what options we had to renovate the kitchen and dining room space of our end of storey terraced property in Swindon, Wiltshire. Ed helped us understand what our options were and then he came up with draft drawings for our approval. He prepared the detailed drawings for planning purposes and dealt with the planning submission for us and recommended structural engineers for the technical drawings for the required steel joists. Ed was professional and responsive and the whole process was relatively straightforward. There were some unusual aspects to the built of our property and when these came to light Ed revised the architects drawings promptly and dealt with the planning aspects. This was the first time we had ever embarked on a renovation so we were new to the whole process and having Ed help us with the drawings and the planning process was great.

My project was quite an extensive domestic home extension and refurbishment. The emphasis was on the design of a more modern Cotswold home. Edward was very collaborative and great to work with. From his first concepts, right the way through planning application, technical designs and build. What we ended up with was a stunning home that is sympathetic to the street it’s in, yet it stands out. Very few people pass By without passing on a compliment. So proud!

We hired Ed after a personal recommendation to redesign our Edwardian cottage in the New Forest - not a straightforward job as the property is within a National Park, Conservation Area and a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Ed designed the extensions to fit in with the existing building, remodelled the floor plans, ran the planning application and then put the drawings together for Building regulations and the builder. We couldn't be happier with the results - Ed really maximised the space by suggesting a side/rear extension, loft conversion and remodelling the inside space. We now have a house that flows with the space we needed - an extra bedroom, extra WC and a large open plan kitchen/diner leading out to the garden. Ed made so many great suggestions, including vaulting the ceiling in the kitchen which really improves the space and light. The planning application was on time and without problem. Highly recommended.
