“Ken and Richard undertook to hang doors and build cabinets and shelves for me in June 22. Overall they were excellent and would definately recommend. They did what they said they would do, being both courteous and professional aswell. The carpentry was of a high standard and they were punctual, clean and tidy. A very professional product!”
Urban Structures Construction

“Urban Structures undertook a significant home renovation project for us and did a fantastic job which included refurbishing our kitchen and utility room, several bedrooms and bathrooms, building media walls, a dressing room, a cinema room and bespoke carpentry. Daniel and Scott are genuinely nice blokes and were great to have around. They were really respectful to us and our property. My wife was heavily pregnant towards the end and they were both so kind to her. There was quite a bit of scope creep due to uncovering several issues with the house and from us adding to the requirements along the way (sorry Dan!), but Daniel was very adaptable, communicated well and was meticulous throughout - it was clear that he wanted to do the best job possible. The initial quote was competitive and Daniel was very clear and fair with any extras. We are so happy with the end result and would thoroughly recommend Urban Structures!”

“Jide from arcandbe did a tremendous job with my kitchen, which is now a feature room in my three-storey Grade II-listed house in Hertfordshire. His attention to detail, unflappability, and can-do attitude all come highly recommended. When I first approached arcandbe in 2013, I was in the early stages of turning what was a commercial building into a residential property as part of a major renovation project. The kitchen was to occupy a 10m long, tapering room that had been a musical instrument-repair workshop. It is 2.5m at its widest point, around 1.5m at its narrowest and set on two levels. When Jide saw the space, it was filled with instruments, storage boxes, and old workshop fittings (see bottom photo). From the start, he impressed me with his efforts to understand exactly what I was looking for, his depth of professional knowledge, and the creative flair of his ideas for bringing the best out of this unpromising space. I wanted a clean-lined look that still retained a hint of workshop ‘feel’ to it. Jide's solution split the kitchen into a lower utility room and higher cooking/eating area separated by a small wall. Dark jade green-painted lower cabinets are offset with white Corian work-surfaces and white wall cabinets that include one open cabinet lined with dark jade green. Most appliances are hidden behind doors. A high-spec larder storage system and large saucepan drawers keep food and cooking clutter hidden. The oak shelves and wall tops are a good example of Jide’s design sense: they are useful, stylish and add a subtle variation to the main theme while tying-in with oak fittings in the rest of the house. Coloured LED lighting (programmed by a remote control) under the worktops was a fun feature that Jide added to give the kitchen another look in the evening. This elegant design pulls the elongated space together in a coherent way and brings light into an otherwise gloomy room (the only daylight is through two Velux windows). It is beautiful, stylish, and yet practical. You can see full size pictures on the site at this link: http://www.houzz.co.uk/projects/1399027/arcandbe-cep-project Unlike a standard kitchen-upgrade, Jide and his team had to take on-board input from my architect and specialist builders, and coordinate with the various trades – electrician, plumbers, painters, etc - who were also working on the building. This they did with good grace and humour throughout. The project remained on budget and any minor problems were dealt with promptly and professionally.”
