“Selecting GEC Luxury Design & Build, led by Gary for our project was the best choice and we highly recommend. Our project, side extension to enlarge a garage and add a master bedroom suite above, relocate the front door, adding porch and creating new entrance hall and snug, with 3 bathrooms installed, drive and parking area. We knew our project was not going to be straightforward due to the construction design, building to the boundary and level of alterations to the house while we continued living in, along with our expectations of a high-quality finish. “Looking to get an extension to my bungalow. I contacted a few initially for comparison. I actually found Chris from the Houzz website. Chris responded quickly, and unlike some other architects, Chris was happy to work in stages and bring in service only when necessary (site survey in particular, and it was not necessary at the end as Chris has enough experience to work on this). As you can imagine, this helps to avoid cost. During the various phases, Chris was very responsive and very patient with all my questions. We have a few, what I would say un-reasonable responses from the council during the planning application. Chris explained the details to me and dealt with them efficiently. The planning was approved and Chris put together the build drawing and able to recommended a couple of very good builders. Unfortunately during the course of approx. 9 months (council mainly, then busy time for the builders, and holidays over the first summer after lock down), the materials price has gone up significantly so I have to park the project for now. It is difficult to capture all the detail but in summary, Chris is experience, responsive, patient to explain the detail and happy to work within my constraint. I would 100% recommend Appropriate Design solution to my friends.”
