Need Kitchen Color Help

We are looking to do a facelift on our kitchen. We are changing out the floor tile to a dark brown wood to match the rest of the house, and are not in love with the backsplash and want to change that as well. We need help trying to figure out what color we should paint our kitchen cabinets, given that we need to keep the granite (baltic brown). Any suggestions for cabinet color, backsplash ideas, or wall color? For reference, the majority of the rest of our house is painted BM Balboa Mist.

I love the brick wall. Could you have the brick continued as the back splash. Cabinets in a creamy color pickuped from the granite and walls in a mid-tone gray.

I would choose something very close to that deep red/rust/plum (can't quite work out what it is) in the granite. It looks as if that colour is also in the tea towel on the right (hanging on the handle in front of the oven). Everything else is so light I think the room would take it well and it would give it wow factor. You need a warm colour, as someone else has said, to tone with the cream of the cabinets and the granite.

Liz, given the amount of natural light in that interior I would say Downpipe, but it wouldn't look like that in a darker interior. Little Greene Grey Teal 226 or Scree 227 look similar. I don't believe you can accurately colour match digitally, paints behave differently in different lighting conditions.

Find a photo(s) of the people you love or a place that has special memories for you and get that made into a picture about the size of the table. It will be personal and look spectacular. There are plenty of online companies that make photos into pictures. If you don't like canvas prints you can get them put on a wood block or acrylic for a more modern look.

I love that your husband fitted your kitchen! It looks great. Completely understand not wanting to lose the bright and vibrant Fuchsia, it seems like your home is rather vibrant and fun. My recommendation would be to have one feature wall in the Fuchsia (I would advise the one behind the armchair) as this would keep the fun whilst picking up the accents of your table runner and kitchen accessories. I would then paint the walls by the window a grey to complement the colour used in the kitchen. To compliment your curtains (instead of having to buy new ones) once you have toned down the walls, I would consider adding a throw pillow in a plain lime colour on the armchair to pick up the colour of the curtain. It is a very personal choice, but that would be my recommendation :) I hope it helps!

More pictures of the space would be helpful, love, love, love the brick! I think you could pull off the rich blue that is in your inspiration photo, a deep cream, or grey would work too. I am looking at some of the off color brick in the wall that might be a good color to bring in. You could do this with your paint and backsplash field color, this would bring cohesiveness to the space. As for the backsplash, something with a bit of metallic detail would give it a bit of sparkle. Maybe something stainless, antique bronze/black (lamp), or the finish in the pot rack. You could paint the pot rack black to make it more of a feature to tie it in with the granite and appliances. The brick and the granite are both dark and detailed, I would be careful not to go to ornate with the other finishes as they would compete with each other. I would get the floor in first (it is going to darken the space, not a bad thing, but something to be considered) to see how it looks with the existing cabinets and work from there, Interested to see what others think.

There is a pretty blue that might look good in your kitchen. I know it wuld be complimentary with balboa mist.

I like your kitchen a lot as is. However, your question was about making changes. So how about a pale teal for your cabinets? Pick a neutral cream color from the granite for the backsplash.
