Comments (14)Re the first picture of the glazed, white cottage door. If you like the cottage home appearance then why not hang a "lace" or muslin type fabric, curtain on a thin brass, or white pole that is fitted across the glazed part of the door but only at half the height of the glass from the door handle? Even a cheap plastic coated wire for net curtains would do. Comments (4)I would go to a reclamation yard and look at their 50s front doors/ windows. We have the same problem... All pvc windows/ door in our new house! Which I hate! We have bought a 30s original front door on eBay; the plan is to replace first front door and square pvc window next to it to original wooden ones. Just changing these 2 only should already put charm back to the house for not too much expense !! Comments (15)Both Ral 7032 and 7044 would look great. I would lean more towards a concrete grey which would be the 7044. I think it would depend on the exact colour of the red brick - if it is dark l would go light and if it is a rather pale red l would go darker.
