I've decided on quartzite, but marble is my fave. Which of tgexquarrzites are closest looking to marble - Calacatta Brazil or white Macaubus - HELP!

On the final run. Collected the units this week from British Standard Carpentry, and they are pucker. Fitters have had a time of it though as the wall angles and floor aren't level (old house). Have a temporary work surface which I'll repurpose when the other one fitted. I really like the look of quartzite, so sticking to that. And then there was the plumbing of waste disposal, 4 in one tap and dishwasher drawers. But they got though it and have all that to add to their repertoire. Few shelves are going to be built by the cooker, but my main concern is the colour to paint the units. The room is north facing so can look moody. I've chosen the fabric for the cushion seating for the bench also.

@NG sintered stone is like a porcelain and so the edge and the sink cut out will be plain and polished. In the same way any drainer grooves will be plain plus most sintered stone is so thin that the drainer grooves probably aren’t very deep or very effective. Hi. Quartz is very durable surface, and sustainable with care. Silestone Bianco River is a lovely White worktop with a Grey vein. This would work beautifully with a Grey & White kitchen.
