What colour window frames?

Just wanting some advice on window frame colour for our new house- there are two large bays (5 narrow windows each) surrounded by red brick and upstairs there are two regular windows against cream render.

I really like the dark grey frames u can get especially how they look from the inside against white walls but not sure if they'll be too dark for the bays?! Any suggestions welcome :)

You have a beautiful home,and there seems to be a lot of windows. I too am changing my windows but before I made a decision I took a picture of my house and got a friend to photoshop the style of window that I liked and also to change the colour until I was happy,I just thought with such a big purchase it was worth it. White would work well I'm sure,but here's a picture with something of a slightly different look,hope it helps and good luck.

Hello Emmeline, I have black and a dark charcoal in the kitchen .. In the living room it's black and then a kind of greyish mauve which I make myself.. Most of the woodwork is painted with a colour I made myself.. My front door is charcoal by fired earth.. It's lovely with brass hardware.. :))

Do you have a picture? Just that different colours suit different periods and styles. I find a soft greeny grey looks good with period red brick, as below.

Thanks all for your comments! And sorry Sonia but the island is full of pastel coloured houses, would make me feel a bit nauseous to come home to one every day (assuming we ever go out again). Husband has vetoed anything darker so Downpipe will probably stay, but like the idea of painting the external sashes the same. The more minimal the better, from our POV. In other news our proposed plywood floors are reportedly the first on the island, so we'll be making a statement if nothing else!

I like grey frames also,I have a tan bricked house and thought of doing the same thing.
I took a photo of my house,and in photo shop,I got my designer to superimpose the cad drawings of the new style windows over my old windows,to give me an idea of what style and colour would work,i am glad I did because the grey looked awful.
It's a lot of money to spend so it might be worth looking into this.
I'm really not sure that grey windows would work well for you,I hope that other Houzzers will chip in with ideas.
