Colour and styling?

I have done my open plan Kitchen and living room in greys and brick feature walls. I want to take it to the next level.... I'm thinking yellow as an accent colour?
Any ideas as to accessories, colours, arranging would really help!! I'm really stuck for ideas now...

These have been around for a while now but I'm still liking them.. Vintage travel artwork, arc lights, angle poise lights, Industrial wall lights, london street or tube signs,fairground lights, movie lights, oversized clocks and mirrors, cinema style or scrabble artwork or any type of typography. Do you want to decorate for something that is in now or something that may not date so quickly? maybe iconic movie star or film pictures? (I've done this recently with a giant Michael Caine pic and love it!)). Any bright colour would look good or even stick to black and metals.

Hi, If you want to go bold, I'd go all the way, I like the green posted above, but I also think a vibrant teal sort of colour could work if you are going bright. I'd prefer to keep the door a more subtle tone, the two colours (amongst the many other colours which would work) which I liked were a cream or a soft green. I've attached (not very good, so fiddly when using your phone) mock ups, in terms if colour, not so much to the design it self but double bonus points if you do like them. Good Luck

What a gorgeous house. I think that duplicating things is a good idea, so keeping the front door oak makes sense because it relates to the oak windows upstairs. You could then have oak windows, or, as Forzaitalia says a dark colour, but if going for a dark colour such as black or charcoal I would consider painting the bargeboards/soffits the same colour so it looks deliberate. You could also stain the upstairs cladding black which would look really smart next to the oak. Black can look a bit harsh next to pale render but I think it works really well next to brick.

Thanks Sonia that does look lovely. The current wooden blinds aren't actually closed fully or turned the right way in the photos, I think the light coming through makes them look bent in the photo. But anyway, yes I could consider removing them :) It was more advice re the curtains, I'd wondered whether they should be to the floor or not, (its just having the radiator in the way), and I can't decide on colour. Walls are willow tree green and furniture white and I have pale grey or white bedding. So wondered if I should go (pale plain) grey for the curtains?

You’re keeping the inner door? Would the inner door fit on the porch outside area which would keep the outside of the house in the same colour frames/doors and then have something more glass orientated inside so it’s not dark with the porch added. I do think that the dark beams aren’t in keeping with the oak coloured windows and doors though.

You really won't need to add much yellow to create the effect you fancy...a few cushion covers, a picture frame or art work, & a dish or vase, & you will have it..
