Hello, Have you seen http://www.ixxidesign.com/producten/beeldenbank/kunst/van-gogh? If you like Blossom prints they have Van Gogh's Almond Blossom print that you can make as big as you like to fit your wall or headboard space. I was very tempted to use this when redecorating my bathroom recently and will probably do a feature wall in my bedroom when I get round to it. They seem to have a large image bank of other art work if the colour is too much. What I like is that you can take the design with you if you move, unlike expensive wallpaper! Good luck with yours! The client was unsure what to do with this plain wall. He considered hanging art work but instead decided to turn the wall into a piece of art! The microcement compliments the kitchen units already fitted and brings the whole room together.

The stone looks to be quite neutral which is probably good (some stone such as the type found in the Cotswolds can be very strongly coloured). If the room doesn't get a lot of natural light then I would personally avoid neutrals that may be a bit too cool or a bit too grey as it may look drab. Shaded White is lovely and could work really well with the beams. That would be my starting point. I would test paint of large sheets of paper and pin them up in the corners. Put them next to pure white paper too to see the colour. If you whitewash the walls first, then you can gauge how much light it gets and if it looks cold.

Paint them all Hague Blue. I don’t get the whole painting a feature wall thing - the walls and colour are not the feature, they’re just a backdrop to everything else in the room. Our north facing bedroom is Hague Blue and still feels bright and airy despite the lack of direct sun - white bedding, light flooring and bright accessories
