Comments (3)Re the paint colour I wouldn't recommend white it will be very stark, you need something warmer with possibly a taupe or heather tone, this will work well with your scheme. Re the spot lights, you can go for energy efficient LED's, they come in white or warm white. The warm white give off a warmer light, similar to what we are used to from our traditional light bulbs. The warm whites vary hugely from brand to brand, so view them before buying them. I would recommend a dimmer switch so you can control the amount of light. Not all fittings are suitable for dimming. Re the mirror I wouldn't put gold as you have a chrome fire surround. But burnished metals are perfect. Good luck....See MoreWhich wall should I do as the feature wall?
Comments (2)Or don't use wallpaper at all, and restore the fireplace, not sure if that was intended, as that will be a lovely feature in the room itself. One other way is to put wallpaper on the wall opposite the fireplace, which you can see from the open arched entrance, just make sure that whichever wallpaper you use flows also with the room leading into the current room from the arched open entrance, as it will be visible from there. Personally I do not like wallpapers used just on the chimney or on the chimney wall especially when there is a beautiful fireplace there which should be the most important feature in itself, but that is my personal preference......See MoreHow do i make this warmer and add feature?
Comments (21)A feature wall behind the bed would look great. Wallpaper, wall mural, paint, paneling, loads of options with choices of colour pattern and texture. I’d go for a subtle wallpaper with a metallic hint to reflect the light, perhaps a faux Venetian plaster finish with peeps of metallic silver or gold or maybe a marble effect. Nice big light fitting whichever suits your taste and a simple roman blind at the window. Sit the Roman blind higher above the window so when pulled up the folds don’t interfere with the daylight. @Pam Dee . Hi, if you’re using the app go to article or photo and click on square box with arrow (top right), should be an option to copy link.
