Lights for our new Kitchen display, have we chosen well?
Comments (16)It is in fact in the front window of our showroom! there will be much more lighting on the kitchen during the day and possible a few spotlights plus these at night. They are more of a feature than a practical light. The glass is smoked black rather than completely clear which would possibly help in a "real" situation. Thank you for your expert opinion! its always great to hear other ideas on Houzz!...See MoreIkea Fabrikor display cabinet what colour would you choose?
Comments (2)What about a dark teal and then for cushions more of the teal with burnt orange or mustard or copper etc? It would also look nice in a grass green which looks lovely with grey and white....See MoreDo you keep your toiletries on display?
Comments (24)I have cupboards under and next to the basin so there is lots of out of sight space for spares. I do keep what I need daily on the surface next to the basin but they are in glasses in a colour that goes with the room and I've arranged them slightly artily so they look considered, not haphazard. That's my view - people who visit my house might think differently! Thinking about it, many of my friends keep everything hidden. When I had my loft converted in my previous home, the architect gave me a very pretty bag to take all my daily stuff in and out of the bathroom - the message was, keep them out of sight. Only remembered that right now. I think I'll have to rethink my routines!...See MoreEx-Display Kitchens
Comments (6)Buying an ex display kitchen is a great way to bag a bargain. But beware as there may be costs you have not considered- such as delivery, fitting, getting worktops resized or additional units if the kitchen is only a partial display. Having said all that you might find exactly the layout you want but that seems only likely if you have a big room with a bare corner. Personally I think you should speak to a kitchen professional and ask them about achieving the look..... Often the specialist can suggest a "looks like" products to achieve a look on a budget....See Morepavinia
