Display Cabinet Help!
Comments (13)Hi Pavinia, I feel your pain! We had a similar problem at home, until my wonderful husband had the idea of nailing together some old market crates (the type used for fruit & veg) - a bit like what Courtenay Moon suggested! We sanded them down to get rid of any splinters and then painted them. They look similar to the picture I've attached. I wish I could remember where we got the crates from, but I'm sure there must be lots knocking round at farmers' markets around your home town! I realise this doesn't solve the television problem, but maybe you could think about using old pallets - you can often get those at builders' yards. Good luck with your project! I'm sure it will look super...See MoreNeed help with choosing which type/style of windows
Comments (0)Hi, We have a 1930s red brick house in the South East of England and the current uPVC (with lead bars in them) windows need replacing. We have decided to go again for uPVC but in white woodgrain. However, my choice would be for plain glass (without any lines of lead or with bars) in as few panels as possible to let as much light in as possible and also not to overcrowd the windows considering that we will have horizontal blinds inside. My husband thinks we should keep the led lines or add Georgian white bars inside. I need help as I don't want the new windows to destroy the look so I want to get it right... Thanks! Comments (4)Hi Lizzie, we often fit doors and windows into properties that have different colours for their different product frames. A popular choice to match with brown is anthracite grey. Although not a front door, this case study will help you to see the colours next to each other: http://bit.ly/corner-bifold-case-study Another option is to get some colour samples to see them in person. We can send out colour samples of any of our RAL shades: http://bit.ly/origin-available-finishes Please let me know if you'd like me to send you a few free colour samples. Thanks, Robyn...See MoreWall plates: which is the best & safest way to display vintage plates?
