In the world of art always make sure you like what you buy. If you think of art as an investment, it could be a sour experience. Love the artwork you acquire. There will be no regrets later. The following works went at different price levels, prices in random order. One was around £5k, another on the £10k and a third one for just under £20k. Have fun guessing. All of them good South American artists.

Oh I'd love something like that (only free-standing) for my bedroom! I'm struggling to find wardrobes to fit a nod to deco theme. We've got mirrored chests and bedside tables but I think a full-on mirrored wardrobe would be too much.

Misha, I didn't think about shadows! Something to definitely keep in mind. Originally the plan was to hang a large mirror there, to reflect the sparkles and light, but I can't afford such a huge mirror, and anything too small will look silly. During the day, when the day is sunny, the chandelier throws 'sparkles' on the walls around, a bit magical :) (and it's not even lit!) I will definitely put up a photo when I finish the wall, but it may be a while before I finally make a decision :O

I’ve disliked the black tv for decades, and wondered why the frame was usually black. We did have a white Sony tv in the 80s, though the off screen was still black... My solution was to make a felt ‘painting’, on a wooden rod, and drape it over the tv when off at the mains. I also painted a piece of paper to do the same. As I always turn the tv off at the mains when it’s not being watched, it’s perfectly safe. They’re still very ugly items, but maybe one day they’ll simply be a small gadget projecting the picture onto a wall space.
