The yellow metal one also has a black version and a white version.
The grey chair itself also has a yellow version..
I could match it with a yellow clock on the floor as an accessory..

I like them all....it's really a big dilemma..

I found that I'm not bold enough... may be all the colours looks too alike..

are you after something bold ie do you really want a yellow chair or are you after a more subdued colour scheme? Have you ordered the pendant light already?

yes the pendant light was bought already.

I'm really not sure if i should try something bold.

I like yellow, but i'm not really sure if it matches with the colour scheme of the whole design.

Here's the colour scheme of the whole place:

The wall is all plain white. In the living room there're some bolder colour: the main door and the shoe cabinet set which is to the height of the ceiling are both wooden BLACK. The sofa is a dark grey, L-shape one.

The TV cabinet is a slim long shape with the darker wooden walnut colour on the left of the picture. The top light wooden material is the floor of the living room and dining room.

Other colour samples are the materials of the kitchen and the toilet.

Since the whole place is a rather subdued colour scheme, i think it may be good to drop a hint of brighter colour (i.e. yellow) to contrast with it and make it look a bit more lively & cheerful..

I don't think you have to go bold. The dining room with the different chairs, colours and materials will add interest. In the lounge if you layer different textures in cushions, throws, rug etc and add art in shades of white through to black it will work (pic attached from homedit). If you do want to add yellow it will work throughout the house as all the colours are neutral. I'm not overly fond of beige and yellow personally but there is only a little. You only need to add 2/3 bits in the lounge. Maybe one predominantly yellow cushion and one picking up a little in a pattern or a trim, then add either a lamp or black and white art with a touch of yellow etc. In terms of the dining room, if you go with the yellow chair I would add some yellow to the wall. This can either be art or pop the clock on a shelf or is there a tiny wall that can be painted? You don't need to go mad, just a touch. Alternatively, if you're worried about yellow, pick a different colour. Other images are from cedartrailnudistretreat (sorry!!) and ikea

They are all from Scandinavian designers ☺️.

The white one with wooden legs is Gubi; the pink one is Muuto (Nerd Chair); the grey one (which the real thing is actually a lighter grey) is from HAY, so as the bar stool; and the black drop chair is from Fritz Hanson.

I bought them all from two different retailers in HK. Scandinavian design shops are very rare here. So I did use a lot of time to "dig" them out. But I really enjoyed this process of discovery and got to know so much behind each brand, each chair design. ☺️☺️

Hi. I think it's looking really good. Love the little pink touches. I'd pull the sofa away from the ŵall a little and away from the window. When budget allows maybe a floor lamp next to the sofa, a rug and some art? Maybe pop the cat cushions on the sofa, you can try some of the cushions sideways on so they fit. I love the ŵall art in the dining area but maybe move that piece to the ŵall by the stool and have a bigger piece of art there? Are you happy with it? its looking great! Well done for remembering to post pics too!

Yes I do like the renovation ☺️.

Now I'm working on the decorations..

I do plan to add an AJ floor lamp. It would be great to pull out the sofa a little bit.. May be only a few inches is allowed ,..and place the floor lamp between the window n the sofa near the wall.. If it's too packed, the lamp can be on the left hand side right at the place where the door opens to..

I also plan to hang some pictures on the white wall above the sofa.. May be 2 or 3 pics like that in the sample pics 2, 3 & 4. But I'm very slow on this... hesitating on the styles of the pictures i should choose... May be some geometric black white grey pics with a hint of pink.. And some pics with quotes.. I hope to keep the place look simple and minimal.. A friend of mine said I don't need to add any pic if I want a minimalist design.

As for the wall of the living room, there's an irregular clock. I tried to put more numbers scattered over the space but it felt too much and made the place look less spacious,... So finally I took some away and now only no. 1,4,8,9 left. What do u think?

I will also add some greenery on the shelves and tables like small pots and plants, cactus, etc.

Appreciate any comments & advice.
