Hi, you don't give the dimensions of the room but it looks a good size with plenty of options. I'm guessing approx 2m x 3.4m? There are a couple of layouts I could see working: 1). Leave the wc where it is, put the bath with shower over in the corner where the sink is now and have a lovely vanity unit where the bath is at the moment. 2) again, leaving the wc where it is, put a shower in the corner where the basin is currently, a slightly smaller but deeper freestanding tub in the middle of that long wall, and a smaller vanity as you come in the door. The shower I'm thinking of is just a slim tray with an 'easy access' screen - one of those with a flipper on the end.. The sketches are not to scale but give a better idea of what I'm suggesting. Thanks for your advice. Yes I plan on getting a few samples of ceramic wood effect tile. Have also been looking at VLT. Not sure about the blue. While it does draw on the colour in the hallway I'm just not that into a pale blue. Would prefer a dark blue which might work also. There is a good amount of daylight in the kitchen. I think the colouring in the photo below is quite good for the kitchen units. We plan on having a tall dresser which could be in that dark green with the remaining units in grey. That vinyl herringbone or parquet seems to be a popular current style choice. Not sure if it will clash with the hallway though.

Thanks everyone! I might try a sample of tranquil dawn and if it’s no good, I’ll probably stick to the white or even a cream to make it softer. Louise, tbh I don’t think we’ll bother with any more tiling though that sounds like a very nice idea.

You could have a look at this, maybe paint in a natural colour (or you may be able to use a stencil)and then add the rug as Sonia suggested? you could use it under the dining table and then fill the perimeter of the patio with plants etc. I’m not sure rugs attract creepy crawlies, probably the opposite. They just need hosing down to keep clean occasionally. Will the new fence allow for drainage?
