I want a ceiling extractor fan above an island hob and as all the ceiling ones run to £800 upwards I was wondering if there is another solution. I don't want one that protrudes to far down from the ceiling. Any suggestion/solutions?
When having a hob on an island there is only 3 choices for extraction: hanging down ones, flush with ceiling ones and downdraft. which ever solution you choose it is going to be relatively expensive compared to an extraction solution against a wall.
Be careful of the installation solution with ceiling extractors as most European made ones won't fit into standard English construction ceilings.
Sorry I can't really suggest a less costly option but thought it worth mentioning the basic options.
