HiTino Felly, Marie Here. Your off to a great start - but you've made a common mistake in that you've found your inspiration for your colour palette, but your not committing to it. You need to bring the greens and blues up onto the walls and onto the floor - commit to it. You could: - add a great throw rug underneath the bed, - add big table lamp beside the bed - or better yet, a wall sconce, - drapery isn't really the best choice for this bedding - I would have brought in a bold graphic print here, in either the blue or the green - artwork can stay neutral - even do a collection of mixed metals in chrome, gold, and have fun with that - if you add too much in the blue and green it becomes boring and un-special. Choose your accessories carefully, I'd change out your drapery - go with something bolder, I'd also get a larger night stand so you could put a proper table lamp there. Good Luck!

I've got quite a lot of furniture second hand, including both dressers (although the top half of one has been repurposed as a tall table/stand of sorts), a bed, mirrors, tables, a conservatory three piece bamboo suite (£50) and ikea bar stools. Also inherited a tall pine chest of drawers and one half of the bunk bed I slept in as a child. My parents are always telling me to let it go but I don't see why I should- I have a lot of memories associated with it and an idea to turn it into a mezzanine style bed to free up floor space in a small bedroom.

I love Josette wallpaper. I used it on my chimney breast in my old bedroom. Loved it so much, another shade went up under the dado up the stairs and in the hall in my house too. We then moved and we have it now in our new bedroom in yet another shade! I put the paper up in my old bedroom. It’s tricky but not the worst paper I have ever hung.

Hi @Kaila Yates and thanks :-) the frame I made was out of aluminium right angle, it could be made from steel angle as well, to totally simplify, you could just make a rectangle out of say, 30mm square wood, glue it to the rear of the mirror (have the back plastic wrapped for safety and so any mastic/doesn’t react with mirror back and then paint it the same colour of your wall, remember it’s only to float it off the wall, it will sit back about 30mm back from the edge of the mirror so can’t easily be seen! drill and wall plug 2 long screws into the wall (horizontally level) and leave them protruding about 25mm then hang your framed backed mirror on them, not a great pic but you can see my frame here, this can’t be seen from the front or side due it’s position, So a wooden frame would be very simple and effective, all you need is a glass supplier to cut and edge your mirror exactly as you want it then make your floating frame to suit :-) hth bespoke does not always have to cost a fortune, all in this cost me @£60 to make! That’s the finished product inc the mirror cut and edged!, the mirror is actually a brass/ rose gold, I love the final effect of the colour
