Hi Catherine, will this be a dedicated cinema room only as there are many options you can choose from and of course will depend on what sort of budget you have to spend and how far you want to go with your cinema room. There are many different things you can incorporate into your room such as projection, mood LED lighting, audio systems, smart home automation (allowing you to control all your lighting and audio visual equipment from an iPad or iPhone for example) so just depends on how far you want to go with your project. A couple of examples of cinema rooms are below for you. You could even look at having home theatre seating to give you a real feel of being at the movies too! Hi, I'm having an extension and would like flooring to be similar/same from the kitchen diner into patio through bi-fold doors. My question is the lounge. I was having stone/porcelain outside (maybe driftwood or slate tile effect) and karndean in kitchen but that won't look right in the lounge. Any ideas please? I like the idea of the same throughout but worried it might be too same-y. Hall not an issue as it's a small closed off square, I'm going old fashioned tile pattern, so there's a natural break. If it is a dark space I would be tempted to plaster the walls and then paint white. You could also put astro turf down (there are some fantastic astro turf products out there now so it really looks like you have grass.) Put a large outdoor mirror on a wall to reflect some light in and some spotlights to give a soft light in the evenings. Where does the wooden door lead to - is it used? r can you open up an alcove to put a shelving and lights in the recess? Thank you for your suggestion regarding the house layout. We really like what you've done to maximise the space downstairs and to include our room requirements in your thinking. We love the utlity area, with an additional nooks for coats etc. and the sizeable pantry off the kitchen. Definitely a good idea to incude plumbing, where we play to put to palyroom because eventually we could see this turned into an additional bedroom for elderly relatives. The re-shuffle of the upstairs space is clever, to minimse cost e.g. with the en-suite bathroom for the master bedroom. I prefer what you've done with the two smaller rooms, by including a doormer whould make the space more useable...and one of the rooms could still become an office. Questions: - by installing roof lights in the downstairs extension, do you feel that would be sufficient light for the ktichen space? Very concious to not make the middle space of the downstairs too dark? Thanks again - blown away by what you've produced!
