Flooring from lounge to kitchen to patio

Hi, I'm having an extension and would like flooring to be similar/same from the kitchen diner into patio through bi-fold doors. My question is the lounge. I was having stone/porcelain outside (maybe driftwood or slate tile effect) and karndean in kitchen but that won't look right in the lounge. Any ideas please? I like the idea of the same throughout but worried it might be too same-y. Hall not an issue as it's a small closed off square, I'm going old fashioned tile pattern, so there's a natural break. Thanks

If a room is North facing it cast a bluish light. This means that anything with a greyish blue tinge (very fashionable) will look dreary. To counteract the bluish light there are three things to consider; how reflective the paints/surfaces are how 'warm' the paints and surfaces are how saturated the paints and surfaces are. It seems to be that to negate the dreary light you need to use colours with a tinge of warmth such as a yellow or red base, and/or go for saturation. Strong saturated colours won't lighten the room, but they will stop it feeling sad. Warm LEDs will also help, but of course it's increasing natural light that you want. Will the parquet flooring be going in the kitchen too?

Hi Sandi You have a great space to work with, and a lot of ideas for the space itself which is a great start. Ideally it would be best to sit down with a Designer and really dig into what you want from the space, taking time to really figure out how you want the space to feel as a whole. However, to get you started it's easy enough to create a concept design plan of the space from plans you have of the home, so if you'd be interested I'd be happy to take a look at the plan for both the basement and lounge, and send you something over to give an idea of how the design could look / be laid out, based upon the information you've posted above.
