North facing loft conversion - colour ideas

We need to decorate our new loft conversion. We have French doors on the main dormer. These are north facing and look out over allotments. We have two velux windows on the opposite side, obviously south facing.

What colours might work? We were thinking pistachio, but worried that might be too cold.

because you have alot of light I wouldn't worry about it feeling too cold.

I would be thinking more about the sloping ceilings and where to stop. You might be better choosing a pale neutral colour and adding impact through pattern on accessories.

Thanks for all your helpful ideas. I might try and get a sample of f/b white tie as i have not looked at that yet. I also will try and get a sample of dulux egyptian cotton as that looks like a colour that could work. The kitchen cabinets are in a shaker style as i am not into fussy designs and do not like bright/bold colours.. We have not got a huge kitchen so we are making the most of the space we have by knocking down stud wall that was the porch to the back door and putting our cooker in the chimney breast. I think i may have a sketch of the kitchen design on my lap top , so will try and upload that later if that will help?Once again, thank you for all your help. you have given me a lot to think about!

Midcenturylass, I would definitely go for a warmer white if you are open to this! I would personally look for something between the two whites, as the Linen Wash is almost bordering a Beige. Post some photos up once you've painted, i'd love to see the outcome! :) As for your husband show him these two images that i've found online (attached). I'm sure he can understand that a Full red room, will make the room look small and with the lack of light coming into the room from being North facing this will create a very dark space. I hope this help you to suade him against full red!

Hi there, Since you have such a limited space (don't know the exact measurements, but judging by the picture), I would go for a small tree that can grow in a north facing garden and that gives you year around interest, such as some variety of dogwood tree - lovely flowers during summer and nice leaves colour in autumn. I would then plant around it with shade tolerant plants such as evergreen ferns for structure mixed up with shade tolerant flowering plants.
