Can we get the space / storage we need without extending ground floor?
Comments (5)Hi ! It's something that with proper planing can all be sorted ! It's just a case of sitting down with it all drawn to scale and working out what goes where!! Eg to claim your loo back and add laundry area under the stairs might be an option. Then add cleaning supplies cupboard in the loo of a more proportional size etc ! Drop down table might be a solution for kitchen ? Or fixed bar rather than table... Comments (31)Present it as a dining room when you sell. Ideally, the space would look best with an oblong dining table and no sofa. But removing the sofa and just moving the table into the room is fine. A plain white/linen tablecloth would help hide the chairs; flowers always go down well. Personally I think the space is definitely too cramped for a sofa and dining area, and since you have a lounge, you want to present the house to look as spacious as possible. Consider a narrow console table against the wall, under the pictures, once you rearrange things....See MoreWhite gloss kitchen what dining table?

I would be really interested to know what you did and whether you are happy with the result, as I am in the process of purchasing a house with exactly the same set up on the wall where the hob is, and am wondering how best to create ambient/task lighting over that worktop....See More- 10 years ago
