suggest you you look for a flecked long pile rug in grey, cinnamon,cream or add Ochre to introduce a fresh colour to add cushions or accent ornaments in . Unsolicited advise , If I was you Id drop the height of the TV to just above eye level when sitting on the sofa. Looks too high at the moment.

Hello decor178, Depends what the rad looks like. I would usually suggest paint the colour of the walls.. If something fantastic and old style like the two I love which are fantastic anywhere.. They have a modern industrial finish which deserves to be shown off.. then I would suggest grey or charcoal but a matt finish rather than gloss. They do though come in a range of finishes.. from chrome to nickel to a copper/brassy finish.. Again it depends on the walls... better to see what you are talking about and the room itself with the furnishings to really get an idea.... .. . :))Or if a box standard plain and boring.. painted as wall will be or add a cover as Brandi suggested- quite plain and then paint as walls are painted.. ..

Thank you ED , Carolina and Emily . Based on your comments , we will keep the rug for now whilst we get the rest of the furnishing for the room and review once all in . The Stockholm mirror was really nice but it’s veneer which doesn’t look at great against real wood , I will keep looking for a brass one . In regards to a coffee table . Do you think I should have side table by the sofas , we are planning to get the chair version of the blue two seater where the wicker chair is at some stage . Or should we go for a centre coffee table in front of the chesterfield ? Personally I think tables at the side seem more functional but maybe a central coffee table is more of a traditional approach If central table was thinking a glass table with brass or / black frame or a black coffee table as it so difficult to get all the woods to match . Other option would be an buttoned Ottoman maybe ? Thank you all

Is the tile on the right a deep green? I would look at something taupe (which means it has a red/violet bias) along the Iines of Skimming Stone or Elephants Breath (Farrow and Ball). These colours seem to complement deep greens whereas anything with a yellow tinge could look a bit sickly. Also worth looking at Little Greene Slate which comes in oil based paint. Or, do you want to actually match a colour to the tile?
