Hello, gold actually is a right colour as you used light grey on flooring, wall and sofa you need to add a couple of warm colours like gold or brown to your room. I used gold lighting on grey wallpaper for one of my recent projects and the result was stunning. If you and your husband don't like gold at all you can add dark brass but you need to add some warm colours. Chandelier with shade help. add some nice warm colour cushions to your sofa (different shade of brown). also coffee table books help.

Hi lovely houzz community, I would love to get some thoughts on some new chairs for my dining table as I'm not a fan of the ones I have. I like the shape but the fabric cover (faux leather ) isn't very nice. I like the Danish style chairs but as the table is high (30 inches) the ones I've seen online are too low. I would also love to get your thoughts on what light fitting could work above?

Hi - I've recently experienced a strong aversion to chain fittings on ceiling lights, and wondered if it was possible to lengthen the wiring and change the fitting to a stem, like a hollow tube instead. If so, is there an outlet that sells non-threaded tubes for this purpose? Initial search shows they're more readily available in the US, rather than the UK... Thanks in advance - Augusta
