Instead of the shower cubicle turn that whole end into a walk in shower with glass screen. Obviously retile the whole room to your taste

On the wall with loo etc have a run of cabinets with a good quality counter of granite or quartz basin on top, replace the toilet with concealed cistern type for an integrated look, include area where wardrobe is now. Add a large illuminated mirror or cabinet to help illusion of space and light.

If you are inclined to leave the wardrobe, just paint to match tiles etc. Always good to have somewhere for towels loo rolls and cleaning stuff. Wouldn't worry about a skylight as long as you have good lighting and extractor fan for additional ventilation.

Incidentally its bigger than both the bathrooms we are just doing, fairly standard for the UK.

You have a fantastic room to work with!

I completely agree with poollover, that corner by the shower enclosure can really be utilised with a wet room screen. It will give you a lot more freedom and make the room look larger overall, Try using wall hung vanity units, this will reveal more floor space, again, opening up your bathroom. As you mentioned, the light in a bathroom is incredibly important! Just as poollover mentioned, using a mirror combined with an extra boost of lighting will look wonderful.

It would be very handy to know whereabouts the door comes on the wall opposite the window, to make a proper plan up. A length of over three metres on the other wall is great and it looks smaller than it is at the moment due to the daft layout and the wardrobe. Would you like to include a bath and seperate shower, as it may be possible! If you could post the stats for the wall with the door that'd be really helpful. The only tricky thing is that moving the soil pipe for the toilet is not easy and can be expensive. Therefore, leaving that where it is would be best. Thus a corner vanity unit with sink and p-shaped bath with shower is probably your best bet!

Personally I would not go with the wet room unless your bathroom is on the ground floor, I think the idea of the walk in shower with a tray is a good idea, if you then retile and paint your wardrobe a light colour to match, open with shelves for towels it would look larger, it is always good to have somewhere for towels and spare loo rolls.

We're also agreeing with poollover on this one, a walk-in shower room would really open up the space and make it look less cluttered.

Practicality is very important when it comes to designing small spaces, so we would suggest a 2in1 ceiling light and an extractor fan to save space and illuminate the room. The fan is discreetly hidden underneath the lighting fixture and won't be noticeable, but still do the job of dehumidifying your bathroom.
