Comments (5)Clever lighting - ie daylight bulbs that come on in daylight hours and soft white light for evening and night time would help too - a good sparky might be able to help with this - or if budget allows consult a lighting designer ! Hope it works out beautifully which ever finish you choose !...See MoreBathroom decor/layout help
Comments (7)The actual bathroom is nice, but sorry to say it’s all your clutter that is the problem. Sorry to be Honest! You need enclosed storage to hide everything away. A mirrored wall cupboard above the sink would be a start, and then another floor cupboard in place of the metal unit. Also get rid of the toilet mat, they are unhygienic and old fashioned. Duck egg is a lovely colour to go with your beige bathroom, so if you want to carry on the theme get some nice towels either in duck egg or white. Get rid of the pink. When that is all done, you can dress the room with pot plants, either real or faux, and some nice hand wash on the sink. Here’s a few ideas for storage. If budget is tight, buy an old cupboard from a charity shop and paint it either white or match it with the tiling or a colour from the smaller tiles....See MoreHelp furnishing & decorating bathroom
Comments (11)It appears that you have no other storage in the bathroom? If that is so then I would add a mirrored wall cabinet either above the loo as you suggest, or on the adjacent wall next to the rad. I love the round one below, but it doesn’t seem to have much storage space. A couple of wooden shelves would look lovely for spare towels and a nice trailing plant on whatever bare wall you have left. I think a wooden cabinet would look nice with the wall colour. As to mixing metals, it’s personal taste, I don’t mind it and brass is rather lovely....See Moredecorating ugly bathroom
Comments (16)Lucky it's a white suite though and fairly inoffensive wall tiles though. There's not much to paint so I'd keep above the tiles a bright white (maybe needs another quick coat)? Seems to be kids with the bath toys so a small unit in front of the radiator might be good but if you don't need more storage, what about a freestanding towel rail with some nice fresh towels on? Presuming you're not wanting to drill into the tiles, you could buy a shower curtain you like, and cut and staple it over a lightweight canvas (cover a cheap one from B&M/the range etc) and cover as much of the plain tiles above the loo to create the look of wallpaper? Might be able hang these in other places too but hard to see with the angle of your photo. Or I'll se them as shower curtains, if you haven't got a glass screen?? I googled botanical shower curtains following Sonia's inspophoto. And then like others have said, some vinyl flooring to freshen it up. Wood effect will add warmth, the terrazzo one or tiled one below would be my faves though. Good luck...See MoreNajeebah
