I would be concerned about painting uPVC windows. I'm not sure how it would turn out and it would be irreversible. I would be inclined to leave them as they are and just paint the dark wood.

If you paint the wood white, the uPVC windows will always look grubby, and it will look harsh against your wall colour. I would suggest painting the wood in the same shade as the walls but in an eggshell finish. Hope that helps!

There are though other ways to tackle the painting of plastic which are to first paint with a universal primer like Zinnsser Bullseye 123 and then the colour of your choice.. I like Brandi's idea of grey to match the cabinets but then I also like the brown of the french doors.. So maybe leave those as they are. If the windows grey would not suit then my second is a brown to match the french doors... If you cannot access the uPVC to paint them easily, I'd at least find out what they suggest... I personally have never worked on uPVC windows so cannot be of any help - they may have people who specialise in this area... : ))

I would go for white, that way all the shapes and lines will blend together and the whole area will look more unified. I think grey may just draw attention to the different materials next to each other.

I like the idea of painting the doors and window frames grey too. Perhaps a lighter shade of grey will compliment without looking too matchy-matchy.

I would paint them all 'out' in the same colour as the ceiling/walls. But it won't be easy getting a good job made of the plastic windows!

I would paint the windows and doors in a dark grey or even black. They will recede and draw attention to the garden.
