Window frame colour...
Comments (19)When I look at the colours together I definitely lean towards lichen. I do however personally like a lighter colour with stone though so think I'm erring towards french gray, which is a great colour. I'd get some testers, they'll both look great. What was your husbands verdict, he seems to have been outnumbered?! I assume you need permission anyway to paint so there will be a long wait for pics?!...See MoreWhat colour have you painted your window frames?
Comments (14)Hello Emmeline, I have black and a dark charcoal in the kitchen .. In the living room it's black and then a kind of greyish mauve which I make myself.. Most of the woodwork is painted with a colour I made myself.. My front door is charcoal by fired earth.. It's lovely with brass hardware.. :))...See MoreWould you paint the window frames & if so what colour?
Comments (12)Agree with grey or greenish-grey (french grey) - a colour similar to the mortar would compliment it nicely. The cream in forzaitalia's second pic also looks very well....See MoreWindow frame colour dilemma
Comments (7)Hi LTS I can confirm that greyish green looks good with red brick and render, this is my house at the back with F&B Light Grey 17 windows (bottom image). I can also confirm that it looks good with black as you can see from the soffits etc. However, anthracite can have a blue tinge and therein lies the problem. I'm not saying that it won't work but it may be worth looking at the hue of the different greens. Forget how 'grey' the green is and think about how yellow green it is or how blue green it is - it can't be both. My windows are yellow/green so I think they are too far away in hue from anthracite to work. However, if you were to look at bluer greens (which can also be greyed) then you find find a better match. The top image shows how blue anthracite is, the middle image shows a blue green (Pigeon) and the bottom is yellow green. You could buy some test pots and paint in on the frames near the anthracite. Hope this helps and isn't too confusing....See MoreCasa Colori
