I would maybe mirror behind the table to enlarge the space.. The bottles need to be on plinth maybe three tiers taller bottles towards the back maybe the same with some glass. Ice bucket and any accessories co-ordinating with colours or style that will follow through the area. Maybe a striking modern arrangement, basically it looks flat.. Need some lift from the back and maybe some different handles to add some sparkle or classic touches to lift the front of the table. Good luck in your project.

Well we’ve had a shift around this morning and completely swopped the dining table and sofa - Minnie101 thank you, my husband loved that idea. So the table and chairs are in the sitting room within the bay window, and the sofa is in the kitchen, overlooking the garden. Here’s some pics. It really works well and I know we will now be using that table more as we love to watch tv whilst eating! I’m not sure the traditional Parker Knoll sofa quite goes, but it’s sooo comfy so it will have to do. The cushions are temporary, as I may get some navy’ish ones instead, but if anyone has seen some nice cushions let me know! As always this Houzz community has been amazingly helpful, and it’s great to get different perspectives. Thank you all very much.

I think the mirror is too big for that particular wall, but it may go nicely on the wall to the left maybe if there’s room? Do you have a dining room? It would look really good in a dining area or a hall. I’m not sure about your console table choice, but it may be just that I like classic decor and it’s a bit too modern for me!
