Hi, I like the decoration bits you put on. I would put a potted plant there which will make it more lively. The console table is elegant, but I would turn it around (the back now would come to the front).You could put a colourful runner. I would cover the fuse switch with a key cupboard (removing the back wall than put it on as a keyholder under the picture. That also brings a litlle bit of life. Maybe a small mirror on the wall where the door is. But nothing more, it would be too cluttered...

I would add colour, perhaps change the floor depending on budget and add some nice storage where you hang your clothes rather than leave it open. You can have some kind of console under the stairs with lighting and a round mirror to make the place look spacious and perhaps small pendants , 3 or so, along the corridor. Definitely looks like it needs brightening up and lighting is key. However of course it depends on what you doing with the rest of the house, for example you could even change the stairs and have a nice runner . It is not just the hallway, but the entrance to your house and it all has to flow!

Simplyfy, Simplyfy, Simplyfy, Unify the window wall by using say an off white shabby chic Venetian blind full width, or curtain rail full width and parking the curtain over the full right hand wall, possibly curving the rail down the left wall to park that side portion. Or better still do both. Both must be floor to ceiling. The Venetian can be kept above the rad in the winter. Keep finishes and colours light, simple and only 2 main ones, otherwise its too fussy. Lighting definitely low. Beds on left with small bedside cabinet.shelf to right and table light to wash the curtains. Light textured not patterned curtains. Or ditto in centre, but corner light works best as it does 2 walls. No more light needed. Paint: soft white, durable absolute mat, not glossy as currently. Same colour but satin for all joinery. The window wall is too messy to pull out as a colour. Rug: off white, textured, and hiding a lot of the floor. If the flooring is real wood with hard wax finish, overcoat with a whitening finish. Lightly hand sand it and overcoat with a partially white pigmented Osmo waxoil, to get rid of its harshness. Experiment first. Light stalk and rug: remove, too contrasty. The picture immediately above shows how such unification and simplification makes a small room work, but a central hanging light will ruin it at night.. Option: get a bed head in matching fabric, high enough to cover the cill, and pull the bed forward to let the heat out. This will simplify.

This looks like a cute house! Do you have plans of the rest of the house? Seeing the entire house would help scale the different rooms. How big of a disadvantage is it to use a bedroom as an office? Can the office be semi-open? The window by the front door, how high is the bottom in relation to the floor? How keen are you to have a dining table instead of just island/peninsula seating? (For the most part, your dining table setups are too tight.) The tiny room behind the stairs - is that a closet? Entry to basement stairs? Any load-bearing walls? Are you removing the fireplaces? The main issue with your first and fourth plans is that you have three rooms sharing one circulation point. Imagine three people, one cooking, one doing laundry, and one coming and going from the office. That's a lot of traffic in that small path. I like the kitchen at the front of the house. This gives the best circulation. If you could have a kitchen counter against the wall with the front-facing window, even better. I would align the office door with the laundry door, and dedicate that whole wall to the left to washer/dryer/storage. Otherwise, I would keep the kitchen where it is, but move it to the other wall and add bifold/French doors like Jonathan suggested. From the bottom up: washer, dryer, (or stacked washer dryer), fridge, dishwasher, sink, and range. The front room could become the office.
