You could use a stone colour like Stony Ground from Farrow & Ball. I think I would be tempted to change the taps & the bath shower tap attachment & toilet handle to something a little bit more modern too.

Hi Missy. Painting the walls and bath panel will make a big difference, something along the lines of French Grey by Little Greene. A couple of colourful prints/ pictures for the wall would bring in a feature to take your eyes away from the tiles. Add and accent colour with a bath mat, towels and a patterned Roman blind, my instinct is a midnight blue. Unfortunately the tiles are quite dominating so until they go, it's always going to look a bit of a compromise. However, if anyone tells you to paint them, please don't...it always looks like a bodge!

I agree with Arq-A yes a full resto on the entire bathroom and would end up being costly. I would go bright white and add a vibrant turquoise with the accessories. If you have a little more money to spend it would look a lot more updated if you were to change the toilet and sink to a more contemporary style and then change the taps on the bath.

I rather like the sink and loo as they work with the towel rail and tap fittings.. my suggestion would be to incorporate stone colours as Headers has suggested.. Then add some wood and natural elements for a classy, sophisticated bathroom.. Don't forget the power of an accessory! So firstly my suggestion would be to paint what wall is available in a stone colour, think natural earthy tones in chalky finish in a darker shade to the tiles to give depth to the room..

Do the same with the side of the bath if you like. I also don't think you need change the taps or bath and shower tap but one thing I would suggest is to replace the shower screen with one that is squared off and one that can be situated with a minimal fixture as opposed to the white strip so the glass is as plain as possible.. This would make a big difference..

What about considering a wooden seat for the loo... Perhaps a little wooden stool somewhere and a wooden bath matt would be rather nice too.. and then add some fabulous earthy spa accessories and Hammam towels.. So it's more about adding a little paint and bathing accessories to what you have to make it a more luxurious experience.. : ))

I reckon this is definitely a job for a stylish Roller blind. Your neutral surroundings can take whatever you fancy, so choose a bold colour or pattern if you dare! It's a really cost effective way to update your room without a full reno. Perfect!

I would suggest choosing your wall colour from one of the little tiles in the border. That way, you can keep the colour scheme congruent. Do some paint tests to see which colour looks best and suits your style. Other than that, I agree with AJ Interior Stylings Ltd - earthy colours are the way to go with some fab accessories!

I agree with bookworm987 and Arq-A Interiors Limited about using colourful accessories.
We chose a similar colour scheme, with a darker wood effect vinyl floor. I made a brightly coloured blind (using this fabric http://www.dunelm.com/product/galloway-140cm-fabric-berry-1000063440) and then picked out some of the colours in the towels etc. Quick and easy to change when I fancy a different colour - I tend to have brighter colours in the summer for example :)

I would put down a darker floor - use wood effect tiles. Porcelanosa do a fab range. You could also panel the side of your bath with it. Choose colours that work with the darker colours of the tiles.
