ED re the screen forming the water barrier at the front, I'm trusting the builder. I didnt ask specifically for a flat tray so I presume he's fitted a lot like it and is happy with how they work. Any issues he'd have to sort it out so it's not in his interest to choose something that doesn't work. He's done a lot of work for me already and is quick to argue with me if I suggest anything unworkable. I've noticed the drain hole is huge compared to a bath, I guess to prevent water build up underfoot. I'll update once the plumbing has been done and the screen is done but it'll be a while as I'm saving for the next phase!

@Jaya Garella I wasn't 100% sure what you meant by 'the bras'? haha. none of the tiles on the mock up pic are anything I have specifically chosen - they are the least offensive on the app I had which is a house mock up program and not specifically for bathrooms. I would need a splashback with a sink unit though as that back sink/wc wall is just a wood frame at the moment so will need plasterboarding. Part of me wants to avoid the grey as although I love a rich grey, the rest of my house is off black by F&B so very dark and moody. In the tiles in a small room it might be a bit drab? I'm also struggling to find patterned tiles that I could put all over the bath wall and bath that wouldn't be too much ie too large a pattern or too small. I would then have to have maybe a wood effect (vinyl or tile) on the floor as I think pattern on the floor and bath panel and large wall might be too much? You don't see the bath wall when you walk in as the door opens to the left and hides it. Trying to find some industrial glam images of alternative options as I'm a bit stuck in a rut with it and my bathroom fitting team is a bit old school so not up on design! haha

Will just one side of the shower be open (ie shower in a corner with 2 walls) or 2 sides open? Do you have an image of the bathroom plan? Also, I would always consider adding a hand held shower head along with a rainfall shower for easier cleaning.

That will be a good size for a shower. May I suggest you visit bathroom showrooms with good displays. You could also visit plumbers trade counters (where all the trades go). They don’t have anything on display and just a counter but they have tons of brochures from all makes which are great for getting ideas from. I bought my shower from a trade counter and although it’s just a quadrant, it is lovely quality with nice thick glass and sliding doors. The places you get less choice from is DIY stores, they just don’t do the variety of sizes you get at a bathroom showroom or a plumbers merchants. Do you have a drawing of your bathroom?
