If you're after a similar colour to what you've pictured then look at farrow and ball railings which I suspect this is. Depending on the light in the room though it can look almost black or read quite blue. Alternatively purbeck stone is a nice warm mid grey but won't have a dramatic effect. I'd keep it neutral but use different textures for accessories, architectural style lights maybe, herbs, faux stems etc. It looks a lovely big room, is it all kitchen?

That will be quite some kitchen, I bet you can't wait! It is dark but if that's the look you want then go for it, it's only paint although it may not be a DIY job with the ceiling height if you don't like it! Little Greene scree is also a nice colour as pictured or you could go lighter still. Have you actually chosen the floor? Are you having upstands?

Wow, that's amazing although don't envy you washing up! Why don't you wait until the cabinets are in and then use the dulux visualiser app or similar to see which shade to go for. The only reason I'm slightly hesitant is that the dark colour will accentuate the ceiling height but may also accentuate the height of the units making them looking disproportionately small (although may look great not knowing height of wall etc and where your lighting will go). I've tried finding a pic but failed. I'd then get a few testers, 2/3 coats on a3 and test in different lights. I think either upstand or splashback/tiles works better rather than have both. The floor looks nice, is that extending into the living?

I would certainly recommend a dark grey wall and for accessories you can add a touch of copper in pendant lights or a bowl or a vase. It would really add glamour to your room

you are looking for a statement dark wall, Farrow and Ball could be a
great option for you. They have very good quality dark greys (down pipe
is a good dark grey, but if you were after a softer look moleskin is a
good option).Another option that could work is having a statement
wall. In one of our displays we have a Panel Piedra wall behind the
cabinets:

These panels are made of high density polyurethane, polyester
resin, and real marble stone powder. So the end effect is a light and durable accent wall.

personally I'd go for the dark grey, something similar to what Carolins posted or the scree. I think a copper pendant will look great against the grey and work well with the coral. I would still stick to textures and just add a little colour with herbs and the faux stems. You could also add some copper accessories. The kitchen is going to be nice opening off the living room continuing the White, the chrome handles and the flooring. I didn't see your response previously but the unit height sounds great against the wall

Minnie I posted a jungle green and white cushion the other day on someone white leather sofas. so doesn't sound yuk at all :-)

It was nice I promise! That's probably a better idea, I was just thinking for breakfast or casual dining but you'll have the island for that. Perhaps wait until the chair and footstool turn up but you probably don't need it. I did try looking for a lampshade for you but it was surprisingly difficult!

I would keep the black :-)
