Sofa/bench for kitchen

Looking for a narrow depth sofa, needs to be about 60cm for kitchen. Any ideas??

Try Ikea I'm nearly sure they have what your looking for.

Hi! I'm also looking for a shallow depth sofa. I tried everywhere with no luck, then I came across a company on ebay that makes sofas for narrow boats, they look great! Like regular sofas but a lot smaller in depth. Type in narrow boat sofa on eBay and it should come up :)

I was considering buying the same (looks like the habitat table) and was checking for bench options. Dwell have some nice benches, but I'd consider one side with seats and the other a bench - a bench can be a bit uncomfortable and annoying for people in the middle to get in and out of. Go for a mixture. Also check outandoutoriginal , Bluesuntree and made.com more benches.

Problems arise when folks want a living room area, a dining room area as well as a fabulous, open plan kitchen (with an island with barstools) in too small a space and try to shoehorn it all in. Which results in impractical and inconvenient layouts, with none of the areas performing optimally. I think people just need to be realistic about the size and shape of the room they have and not chase an impossible "staged for a magazine" dream.

Personally I think that with the neutral palate any colour will work- but I feel that you need to choose a contemporary design to work with your German kitchen. I would choose a simple but elegant sofa and chair, choose a pale neutral (but not grey to avoid the fifty shades thing) Then I would add colour through accessories and a patterned/ textured rug. Separately I think the worktop upstand detracts from the mirror splashback behind the hob and is unnecessary. Otherwise I think the kitchen looks great.

Update: Lamp, cushions and plant in place. Printer stayed where it was simply because no space anywhere else, but I’ve closed it up so it’s not so obvious, I hope! Thanks again for all your advice.
