Help with kitchen wall

I am in the midst of redecorating my kitchen. Have a large island with black table top. Just painted one wall luscious lime and will have my sofa against that wall. Have a TV in the corner as well. Need ideas for how to dress the green wall. Would love any input.

A nice wall clock would help dress the wall. Alternatively if you want to be abit playful and fun Consider wall stickers which are available at stores such as Next as well at very cheap prices.

Wow, you have done a great job already with your kitchen. You have had so many great ideas re. the wall there isn't anything on that I could add. To solve the problem of the chairs hitting the wall I would either opt for a huge floor to ceiling mirror which would encourage one and all to be careful when leaving their seat or my preferred option would be to replace the chairs on that side with a bench. I'd cover the bench in either shabby chic cushions or a deer or sheepskin rug for comfort and I'd play with table decor. Get chair covers for the redundant chairs and use them in the bedrooms - one in each corner. Then for formal dinner parties or for when the table is extended you simply remove the covers and add them to the table and you can still use the bench if the table is extended.

Hi Norma, It's hard to say without looking at your kitchen photos. But here are some lovely neutral tiles for kitchen when trying to create a restful backdrop with a modern edge http://www.firedearth.com/tiles/range/aurora/mode/grid You could also introduce patterned tiles which are an ongoing trend http://www.firedearth.com/tiles/range/madeira/mode/grid http://www.firedearth.com/tiles/range/sorrento/mode/grid Lastly, you could go for coloured splashback which is easy to maintain compared to tile grout line. Those tiles are stunning. Now I know you’ve got the paint, but I would have gone paler, simply because the tiles are so beautiful and I wouldn’t want to have anything that detracts from them. if It is too dark, you could always add some of the green to plain white paint and mix well. Make sure you mix enough for the whole area! I’ve done that before and it worked out well. Good luck!
