TV help - Kitchen Wall

So who would have thought putting a TV on a wall would be so much fuss.

We have a double socket now chased into our wall, the idea being to hide behind a TV. Seems this is now not the “done” thing for sitting a TV flush.

So I liked the look of the Samsung Frame. Having actually seen it there is a “one connect” box, like a power bank, that doesn’t sit behind the TV, but funnily enough isn’t shown on any of their promo videos.

So I spoke to a guy who installs wall mounts etc. hoping he could find an easy suggestion, then he flagged “you won’t be able to sit it flush in front of sockets” so that put an end to that idea.

We don’t want to create a big media wall. We just want something to sit rigid, near to the wall, maybe with a sky mini box behind it, but are now totally lost where to even start.

As the intention is to have a bench built into the all and a table, we don’t want something that people will bang their heads on every time they get up haha.

So can anyone help? We really are now lost

There maybe an 'arm' or flexible mount that may enable you to do what you want to do, but I can't see how you can mount something flush unless it goes to the side?

Maybe there's a mount or arm that can also hide the extra tech boxes on it too?

If we didn’t get flush, which I don’t think we will, then looking at how close we can get it to the wall with a rigid TV. It will be a 32-37” TV realistically.

We just don’t want an unsightly gap, so really stumped on the best bracket, and really a good TV that doesn’t have one of these “power banks” separate

We might be being very stupid, but life never use to be this tough!

i think it will be awesome if we can put TV on the kitchen or dining room, but guess the noises inside the kitchen couldnt compete with TV which is better way to connect living room with quite wide TV and the kitchen, so theres a way to watch the TV through kitchen or dining room as well

leave the TV wall mounted but bring it down a little and then you won't be ending up with neck ache and maybe put a shiny white cabinet to display some nice pieces. that's what I've done and it looks great.

I replied yesterday but can't see it now?! Funnily enough the electricians did suggest building a false wall where the cabling could be hidden (& have limitless options) but we decided against that & the wiring is now chiselled into the wall. I think something bespoke is probably the way forward because I'd prefer not to have anything too chunky at low level eating up sofa space. I did try to speak to the builder/carpenter yesterday about it but didn't in the end because I got the impression he doesn't want any extra jobs to delay the build. It's that time of the build where many decisions have to be made...am feeling the pressure!! Really appreciate everyone's help :)

Thank you so much for taking the time to do these detailed plans. You have certainly come up with some ideas that we had not thought about. In particular we wouldn't have thought about having a small sofa against that wall (we had thought the tv would be good here) but actually I think it feels nice to be facing the other way. I also like the piano and the bookcase being at the entrance and feels this would help separate the kitchen from the family room area and also be that I can hear my daughter play whilst I cook and pop round the corner to see her. We have only just created that large opening for the window as wanted as much sun in as possible (and in fact have just had it amended to make it larger so it didn't look so obviously like a garage conversion to us) - so I wouldn't be keen on the second idea of reducing the window size for the piano - but yes you are absolutely correct and we should have thought about furniture placement more than we did as the 15cm of wall to the left of the window has prevented me from running a nice long floor to ceiling bookcase along that wall which is disappointing - but still other areas to put it in. Luckily I can carry out your furniture arrangement as I placed 3 tv points so will see how it feels when we finally get finished. Thank you so much for these plans and the effort to achieve them!
