Difficult decision. I have dove grey fascias. It’s veryyyy close to slate grey and I love the colour because it’s so neutral. Having said that I do like charcoal too but wouldn’t choose it for my own kitchen. Out of the two colours dove grey (slate grey) is the most popular seller.

Judging by your plan, if you’re kitchen is south facing, it’s going to be flooded with light. I tend to prefer darker colours in poorly lit places but lighter colours for sunny rooms. I’m not a big fan of grey but Ammonite is a very subtle shade and I think it would look good on the perimeter units. I fear that a darker colour people suck the life out of your bright sunny room. The island can then be any colour you like as a contrast. I feel that a whole kitchen in Pelt might be a bit too much, but the island in Pelt would look amazing. It’s a beautiful colour and would be a real talking point. Without wishing to be controversial, I think the days of the dark blue kitchen may be coming to an end. It might look dated very quickly. If Pelt is the colour that’s captured your imagination, then go for it

This is a photo of the existing kitchen taken late in the evening about half an hour before sunset. It is looking towards the main window at the end. The other window is behind the fridge on the right, but I’m not planning on anything above countertop height in the new kitchen.
