Thankyou all for your responses. I am answering all the questions as follows: 1. The units colour is Porcelain (Howden's Elmbridge Kitchen Units). 2. The original wall colour is Dulux Ivory Lace. 3. The kitchen and utility room is East facing and the sun is in the rooms in the morning and switches to the front of the house in the afternoon. 4. As advised earlier, all of the grey variants we have tried are coming out in shades of lilac through to mauve/purple unless we go with a deep grey which is too dark for the room. 5. Any help on alternative colours which maintain the airy light feel of the rooms would be very much appreciated including creams etc. I look forward to your thoughts/suggestions.

It depends on everything else in the room. Flooring, other walls etc. Deep blues are good for disuising TV's which is always a good thing.

It’s probably limewash. Practice on some other bricks before painting the most visible feature in your house, don’t forget limewash is corrosive so lots of safety goggles, gloves and dust sheets, with the window open…… and be prepared to apply 3 thin coats rather than one thick coat ….water it down significantly (3parts water to 1 part limewash).

Hello This is my first time ..And I really appreciate any help I'm looking for examples but I didn't find much. We are trying to choice wall paint and we want it white but there is a wide variety of white shades and I find it hard to decide without help or see examples.. we don't want it very bright so it cover the furnitures or beige shades because I don't see it suitable and will make it hard to choice the furnitures color.. The floor is grey porcelain and I add a photos of it.. if any one has any examples I would be happy cuz I didn't find. And in what color you suggest the furnitures be? I really appreciate any help, thanks in advance
