Comments (9)Hey! We had exactly the same dilemma over windows a few months ago, so I know how stressful it can be, trying to make the right decision! My advice would be to get a good designer and get them to work up some 3D renders for you with the different options you're considering, so you can see EXACTLY how they will look before you make your decision. They'll be able to show you different paint colours and also the different designs. I'm presuming if your windows are anything like ours you will be looking at thousands opposed to hundreds to replace them all, so for me a couple a couple of hundred pounds to be able to fully visualise the end result and be confident in your decision is money very well spent. There will be plenty of designers with software you can do this for you. We used Gina from Create Perfect on here and she was amazing! Good luck!!!...See MoreNeed help with window design, have just 24 hours to decide
Comments (6)Thank you very much Rebecca, Jonathan, AS and Bath Bespoke for your comments, v kind of you. I have attached a picture with the window design I am now actively considering for the non bay windows. I thought this may be a good option since it will maximise the views from the inside. I don't know what the name of this type of window is but it is a solid pane with two fanlights above. Do you think this could be a solution? I am hoping it will blend in with the bays? As for the rendering, I am still undecided whether this will look ok with this style of chalet bungalow, at times I think the brickwork looks good and other times I wonder if it is dated! I think I may have to play it safe with white windows........See Morematching new door frames to windows.
Comments (7)I believe important is also the nature of material this colour is on. If the existing kitchen window is wooden frame, painted white and the new bi fold door is aluminium anthracite/black I wouldn't mind. But if the white window is plastic white, this truly doesn't go together very well....See MoreAvril
