Yes I think either of these pieces could work - (I prefer the 2nd image with bench and chairs) but certainly the addition of the upholstered chair in grey complements your kitchen. In addition I would ensure that the barstools you use also tie in somehow with these pieces or else it may look too disjointed.
Not the white table and bench - too much of a contrast with the kitchen IMO!

I think that a rustic wood type of table will work wonderfully and bring some warmth into your lovely kitchen. Maybe with a matching bench, but different, more modern chairs.

Instead of mixing leather fabric and bench at table - maybe bench and either leather or fabric at table and the other material for the bar stools?

I agree with Elly Roe interiors about mixing chairs at the table. Wouldn't do that.

Do you like the bar stools with the buttons in the back? Made.com has the same dining chairs, but not everyone likes to have dining chairs and bar stools to be the same?
