I'm not doing walls until kitchen in. also waiting a while to replace our table with a slightly bigger one. I've always wanted a decent table. only 3 of us so maybe will use end of it for serving up. in the pics the island looks clear and usable. the reality is it gets covered with all sorts. Im thinking of a mobile unit as could put it against chimney breast some of time. It's a developing idea. I'm reluctant to finalise until we live with the kitchen for a while. so much to think about and I'm an over thinker!

Greys tend to be purplish, greenish or blueish. The more yellow in a green grey the more it will clash with a blue grey (I know, I have it). The green room next door has a wooden floor, that makes a big difference. I would get the colour that matches the floor as you see them together. I'm not sure those green colours work with the floor, but it's difficult to see correctly on a monitor. Something like Elephants Breath may be worth trying and may work will with the room next door, green and violet greys seem to like each other.

The cupboard looks pretty deep - good for overall volume but difficult to make the space work well. Something easy could be some wire spice racks (IKEA sell some lightweight metal racks) fixed to the inside of the door for keeping individual bottles and toiletries in. I have done this and it stops things getting buried. I think you have to subdivide that lower space with at least one more shelf. Use a tub filled with less frequently used items at the back of the shelf and then hand towels, larger towels stacked in piles in front.  The other way to do it could be a u-shaped shelf (like you get in pantry cupboards). Having really deep shelves isn't that helpful because stuff ends up buried at the back. Underneath the shelf (on the floor of the cupboard) you could have more lidded tubs or zip up laundry bags. I'm not sure what you mean by light timber kitchen cabinets? Do you mean as light as plywood? I would try samples of the kitchen cabinet door together with floor samples. See if they work together first and try and find as many visual examples of what you are proposing as possible. Houzz has a million kitchen images but try other websites too and buy a few books or magazines. (Enki is full of wood examples) as you don't want to make an expensive mistake. I would say it depends on the tones of the wood and the style of the kitchen. If you provided a pic of the flooring at least you would get better advice.
