need help to choose kitchen wall colour
Comments (20)I would choose something very close to that deep red/rust/plum (can't quite work out what it is) in the granite. It looks as if that colour is also in the tea towel on the right (hanging on the handle in front of the oven). Everything else is so light I think the room would take it well and it would give it wow factor. You need a warm colour, as someone else has said, to tone with the cream of the cabinets and the granite....See MoreKitchen paint colour help needed!!
Comments (17)Wow, I had to make a cup of tea for this one. Orange and red are your two main colours here (copper, wood, worktops and red items) and yes, green or blue/green is the complementary, but there are a million options and they don't need to be saturated. At the moment the red and green are fighting for attention so the new wall colour needs to be 'quieter'. If you want to show the true beauty of the copper, then I would avoid strong colours and go for something moody. I would paint most of the walls a cool pale neutral and then go for one wall in a punchy edgy colour that complements the red without having a fist fight with it. It could be a cool neutral with Mouses Back (which looks fabulous with red). My favourite edgy colour is Little Greene 'Light Bronze Green" 123 which I have in my kitchen with Skimming Stone - see below (and image 2 with red picture). Does any of that make sense?...See Morehelp! kitchen needs some colour
Comments (12)Find a photo(s) of the people you love or a place that has special memories for you and get that made into a picture about the size of the table. It will be personal and look spectacular. There are plenty of online companies that make photos into pictures. If you don't like canvas prints you can get them put on a wood block or acrylic for a more modern look....See MoreKitchen paint colours - we need help!!
Comments (31)I'm so sorry, but I've only just seen your posts and all your hard work with the mock ups!!! I didn't get notified. Thank you so much this is so helpful!!! Seeing the Photoshop mocks ups makes us realise we don't want to go two tone on the edge cabinets and like the lighter grey. Unfortunately the job hood needs to stay as we can't get it out. We would love to have a modern one added, it's just not doable without taking all the units out. We have painted the window wall which looks fab (well we think so!), picture below. We're considering ammonite or cornforth on the outside cabinets (posts included) and downpipe on the island. We're not 100% convinced the downpipe will work? What do you think? Is there any possibility anyone could use their amazing skills to demonstrate these colours please? outside cupboards ammonite and island downpipe outside cupboards and island ammonite and if anyone can really be bothered the same as above but with cornforth instead of ammonite! Thank you for your time!...See More- 9 years ago
