Absolutely loved the ceiling lights!

Hi,
I quite liked your work, it's a shame you are not local to me. :)
I was planning on doing my apartment and am totally sold on the ceiling lights!
Where are they from? Do you think I can order them in the UK?

First of all thank you so much for your interest,

The ceiling panelling and lights are part of my interior design implementation, they are designed and installed specially for this residence.

Thus, can't be ordered without having your ceiling's measurements and it might be quiet difficult to install also.

I would like to know the details about your project because i'm planning to move to UK in aprox 2 months. Maybe there will be a chance to work together.

It may not be as expensive as you think and I (the completely non-pro!) think you'll need some wall lights which will obviously involve chasing cables in the walls so would want to get it done properly first time. My non-expert thoughts anyway! Bed 1, it looks as if this is the only place you can have the bed so I would swap this for a flush or semi flush ceiling light. Have either tall bedside lamps So you can see to read or have lights fitted over the bed. If you're doing make up etc in here then you'll need lights fitted over a mirror etc to see. Bed 2 looks as if it can take a pendant but I would hang it higher, same for bedside tables. In the lounge I'd go for a mix of wall lights (you can also get both up and down lighters), floor lights and table lamps. I would be careful about putting in ceiling lights over furniture layouts unless you position a light centrally in the room otherwise they can look odd if you change the layout and obviously you may have drilled through beams. A pendant over the table in the kitchen will make the ceilings appear lower but I went with this in my basement as they was no getting away with the ceilings being low anyway. I'd add wall, floor and a table light around the seating area. I'd add a mix of up and down spots around the kitchen cupboards. Where I do think you'll need light is over the range. I've got them over my aga and wouldn't be able to see properly to cook without them. Maybe look into lights with heat resistant cables etc as there's not much height there.

I have these in a couple of the bedrooms to hang bathrobes and such on. They come in black or in white (which I would do on the White door). I love them and think you could probably do two on the door at slightly different heights. As the others have said, laying spotlights all over a ceiling just looks brash. They are best around the edges of the room, where the light bounces off walls and serves to give a nice glow, rather than an industrial glare. And I would absolutely advise keeping the central fitting on a separate circuit for a statement pendant - or at the least advise leaving the wiring for that there and hidden in the ceiling, for the potential for one in the future. Spots are massively overused - I have seen a load of period houses here in London made soulless by removing ceiling fittings and ambient lighting for a carpet of spotlights. spots are one aspect of a good lighting design, but should not light a room on their own - too harsh, too directional. Lovely lamp shade! Where did you find it? I have a similar dilemma when looking for light fittings. We have a Thirties house, and trying to find something in keeping but not OTT is difficult. We have high ceilings too, and I do dislike looking at bare lightbulbs from below. Husband also makes a fuss as he says all modern shades and bulbs aren't bright enough! Ambient light means nothing to him
