I've braved white! I love it because it's so versatile allowing me to change things up whenever I fancy it. The key is to have a second set of slipcovers. I wish more companies did slipcovered sofas, pet owners like me appreciate being able to keep funky smells at bay. I would imagine parents of teenagers would too! ;)

Lounge doorway is 81cm wide with door on, and would be 82cm if could take off. Very old fittings that seem to have been painted over many times so getting door off may be an issue. Doorway height is 196cm Hallway width is 77.5cm and height wise no issue in hall - very high ceilings. The hallway width is probably the biggest problem. The only access to lounge is through this hallway door, and the width is only 77.5cm. The Next team were trying to twist it around but the sofa was just too big. They actually ended up accidentally putting a hole in my wall trying to do it!

This couch will go in the living room that has white or off white walls. With little kids, a white rug isn't an option. Please suggest colour schemes, specially the colour of curtains/blinds that would go with this sectional. Open to all ideas but not interested in very dark colour palettes. Btw, is this sofa colour taupe?

Very sorry to say but I think this is damaged beyond repair. Although it is "only"  water damage, dye may have come out of the wet clothing and it would only take a small amount to discolour the water. I think your options are to either  replace, recover the whole sofa or perhaps cover the stained area with a throw. Even if you were able to source the actual fabric used on the sofa ( it may be on the label usually attached to the sofa under the cushions) you would have issues with shade differences due to dye lots and fading etc. Could you claim on your insurance? Not really sure if that is ever worth it (increased premiums). Best solution for me would be a big beautiful throw
