Silver skeleton clock

Hello all, I'm considering hanging this clock above my bed, but am worried that with it being silver it will just blend into the wall. I'm considering painting the wall a darker grey (or white?), or I'm open to wallpapering the wall, or I could perhaps mount the clock on some kind of board? Just putting it out there in case anyone has any bright ideas! Thanks :). Please ignore the mess of temporary cushions!

Hi there, I think the reflective quality of the clock goes great with your decor. You could either paint or paper the bed wall in a slight deeper shade of grey but I don't think it's absolutely necessary. What does worry me is that 'does the clock make a ticking sound?'. That would drive me crazy if I wanted some sleep.
Another option if you wanted to create a focal point for the bed is a couple of matching slim mirrors behind the lamps and/or some artwork above the headboard.

Hi Paul. I think they work as the colours are soft. I would swap the tartan and chevron cushion around though on the love seat and also add a solid colour cushion. Why not try both of the sofas at right angles to the fire with the loveseat opposite the fire so you can hang the tv above that. Pull the sofa away from the bay and put the console table behind it with a table lamp etc, If you're wanting to add colour I'd go for a shade of purple for a textured rug then maybe add a couple of yellow accessories which work reallywell with purple. If the mirror fits (?) I'd hang it over the fire, if not on the wall opposite the window.

Have you considered painting the brick a pale white/grey? I know that's not art work but your eye instantly goes to the brick rather than the kitchen and it would make it easier to bring contemporary art work in. There are lots of affordable art galleries on line and even on the high street now. Alternatively contact your local collage/university and ask about exhibitions.

The big red rug had to go (we still don't know where to sell it), it ended up taking up the entire space, covering the wooden floor. The husband was heartbroken--it was from his flat as a bachelor, but we couldn't make it work. Yay! Wow thats pricey!! Ligne Roset have the Pik clock at £522 so £300 cheaper than Natuzzi (which surprises me!) Alternative is the Karlsson 'Little Big Time' clock which you could wall mount then source a metal circle to hang around it... depends how creative you are feeling!

I agree with above would the ticking drive you mad ? But it is a great clock. I wouldn't mount it if you decide to go with it but paint a slightly darker shade of grey.

Hello, thank you so much for your comments, I think I will go with a slightly darker grey for that wall (Dulux Night Jewels 5) and I love the idea of the mirrors behind the lamps.

Do you think I could have the mirrors but still have the clock or would that look weird since they would be different shapes?

If the ticking is loud I would just take the battery out! The clock is only for decorative purposes. Same reason my husband sometimes wears a watch that hasn't worked for about 10 years :D :D

I love Night Jewels I use shades of it myself. I would personally just have the clock as a statement but you could always hold them up to give it a try. Maybe add a mirror above the chest of drawers left to the window ?

Hi, I'd certainly get a couple of really cheap mirrors first to see if you like the affect but personally I don't think it will look odd, just adds to the drama. Just had a quick browse on Argos, something simple like these might work:

If you decide to ditch the mirrors idea then I think something else reflective in the room would look good to complement the clock. Maybe a mirrored trinket box on the drawers.
