I must admit the colours don't really 'gel' easy for my mind. I think the brown and pink and turquoise just doesn't do it for me but I hope someone can prove me wrong. I do love white and turquoise though. You could be bold and choose to paint your island turquoise or maybe another piece of furniture in your kitchen like a dresser or table. Or maybe all the lower cabinets turquoise and upper white. Or you could restrict your pops of colour to lighting, tiles, chairs etc. I did find a nice picture of white, turquoise and lime green accents. I'll try and post the link. On the other hand if you are only keeping the tiles because you feel you *should* keep them I think it may always be all you see in your beautiful new kitchen....in my opinion haha keep them if you love them but don't try and fit a whole scheme around them if you know what I mean. Glass - Tiles look busy, the grout is a problem as well - picking up dirt easily, and discolouring takes place over time. Glass is easy to clean, and in terms of colour, I could recommend to go for something timeless like a neutral colour. Bold will provide you with the initial wow factor, however a timeless neutral colour is dfficult to beat when your chosen bold colour isn't trendy anymore .:)

Hi Carolyn. I think your kitchen looks great, love the styling of the shelves. Does the "splashback "on the oven come off? If not, and may be wrong(!), I think a splashback might look a bit odd. If you were to do anything I might add a splashback all the way across that wall up to the bottom of the first shelves but it would be good to see a pic including the ceiling. Your kitchen to me seems all about texture so I would actually avoid any type of coloured glass but add more interest with texture. I don't think it's needed though I would just clear a couple of things off the worktop add some wild flowers (good faux if necessary) and a potted herb or 2

An upstand sits on the worktop and is around 4" high. A splashback normally fits behind the hob area to prevent splashes ruining the wall. You can have one or both fitted.
