I've just moved into a flat which has equal sized living room and master bedroom. The living room is currently at the back of the property and leads out onto a courtyard garden via French doors. The master bedroom is at the front and has lovely sea views. I am thinking about swapping the living room and master bedroom over, as the master bedroom has beautiful original features which would suit a living room and we could also take advantage of the beautiful view throughout the day. My dilemma is that the courtyard garden would then be off the master bedroom and this would mean going though the bedroom to gain access to the garden. This isn't a problem when it is just us at home, but a bit of a problem when we want to entertain friends etc. Should we keep the layout as it currently is or swap it over to get the best of the views?
